A new year brings new beginnings. Well, in our case new music. There are a plethora of exciting new albums set to be released in 2019 including new music from The Raconteurs, Deerhunter and My Bloody Valentine. Here are some of the most anticipated albums to look forward to this year.

The Raconteurs, TBA

With two new tracks out in a decade, “Sunday Driver” and “ Now That You’re Gone,” Jack White III, Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence, and Patrick Keeler are set to release a full length album. Along with the new music, White and Co. will be hitting the road this year. No dates have been announced but the anticipation is building.

Sleeter Kinney, TBA

There hasn’t been any details leaked about the forthcoming album other than St. Vincent as the producer. If that doesn’t get you excited, I can’t help you. No doubt it’s going to be a classic.

Deerhunter, Why Hasn’t Everything Already Disappeared, January 18

If ‘Death in Midsummer’ is anything to hinge our bets on, then we can expect something great from the Atlanta experimental rockers. The latest album has been described as a science fiction album focused on the present.

My Bloody Valentine, TBA

There hasn’t been much said about the forthcoming album other than we should be expecting one. No tracks or information have been released, but that doesn’t mean we can get excited with one album confirmed — possibly two.

Foals, Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost, TBA

Foals are set to have a big year with two new albums set to be released this year. No tracks or dates have been set yet. What was originally thought to be a two-part release, the band has confirmed that there will actually be two albims we can look forward too.

Sharon Van Etten, Remind Me Tomorrow, January 18

It’s been four years since we have heard from Sharon Van Etten. A hiatus from music had Van Etten focusing on other personal endeavors such as education, acting, and having a child. “Comeback Kid”, the first single, is a synth rock track stating just that Sharon Van Etten is the comeback kid of 2019.

Childish Gambino, TBA

There isn’t much to say about Donald Glover, aka Childish Gambino, that we don’t know. Anything he does these days turns into gold. The hope was a new album at the end of 2018, but we will be sure to get it this year. With rumors of Glover retiring Childish Gambino, a new album and headliner spots will be in the works this year.

Ryan Adams, Big Colors, Wednesday, TBA

Adams is set to release three new albums in the next twelve months. The first, “Big Colors”, is set to be released in April and the next two later in the year. We can expect lot of harmonies, big guitar riffs, and typical Adams passion.

Karen O and Danger Mouse, TBA

Nothing but exceptional and glorious music is what is expected when these two legends come together. If the nine minute “Lux Prima” is anything to base expectations on, we are in for what could be the album of the year.

Weezer, The Black Album

I bet no one assumed that one of the biggest debates of 2018 was going to be about Weezer. Thanks to Matt Damon and Saturday Night Live that is exactly what we got. “The Black Album” is to be released in March with the Rivers and crew set to hit the road with the likes of the Pixies and TV On The Radio. Are you with old Weezer or are you Ride or Die?
