Sam Simon, the co-creator of the hit TV series, The Simpsons, has passed away today at the age of 59. Was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2012.
Simon was truly a remarkable person in and out of the studio, he was a huge advocate to saving animals, with his Sam Simon Foundation that provides service dogs to those veterans who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan. Simon was also a huge supporter of PETA and was known to purchase zoos, only to free the animals who had lived inside of them.
