The Wedding & Portrait Photographers International (WPPI) Conference & Expo 2025 took place from March 16 to March 20 at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas.  This premiere event brings together photographers and filmmakers specializing in wedding and portrait photography, offering a platform to learn, connect, and explore the latest industry trends.

Educational Opportunities

WPPI 2025 offers a comprehensive educational program tailored to various skill levels and interests. Attendees can participate in:

• 2-Day Specialty Summits: Intensive workshops focusing on areas such as portrait, lighting, wedding, and boudoir photography. These sessions provide hands-on experience with professional shooting bays, allowing participants to refine their techniques and build standout portfolios. 

• Photo Walks: Small group experiences limited to 18 participants per session, led by expert photographers. These two-hour classes are designed to enhance skills in posing, styling, lighting, and shooting, offering personalized attention and tailored guidance. 

• Main Stage Presentations: Insights from industry icons such as Lindsay Adler, Audrey Woulard, Felix Kunze, and Jerry Ghionis, covering contemporary portrait, wedding, fashion, headshots, branding, and event photography. 

Tradeshow and Exhibitions

The WPPI 2025 trade show floor featured over 100 exhibitors and sponsors, showcasing the latest photography gear and services. Attendees can engage directly with industry experts, explore new equipment, and experiment with creative techniques at the renowned Shooting Bay Avenue, which offers stylized sets for hands-on practice. 

Networking and Community Events

Beyond educational sessions, WPPI 2025 emphasizes community building through various events:

• The Icon Awards: Celebrating excellence in photography with live judging, image critiques, and a stunning exhibition, providing attendees with inspiration and recognition opportunities. 

• Parties & Experiences: Vibrant social events and after-hours parties at some of Las Vegas’ best nightclubs, offering attendees the chance to connect, create, and collaborate in a relaxed setting.
